Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information The Pitch Floor (run by Startup Flames, part of Founder Haus) collects, why, and how it's handled.

What we collect

When you apply or register through our site, we collect:

• Founder and startup details you submit (name, email, phone, LinkedIn, startup information, pitch content)
• Files you upload (pitch decks, photos, logos)
• Payment information processed by Razorpay — we receive confirmation of payment (an order ID and payment ID) but never see or store your card, UPI, or bank details directly

How we use it

We use this information to evaluate applications, run the competition (including sharing relevant application details with our judging panel and investors on the floor), process payments and refunds, and send you email updates about your application status.

Who we share it with

We don't sell your data. We share it only with the service providers that make the site work, and with our judging panel/investors solely for evaluating applications:

• Firebase (Google Cloud) — database, file storage, and authentication
• Razorpay — payment processing
• Resend — transactional email (confirmations, updates)

Data retention

We retain application and payment records for the duration of the program and as needed for accounting, tax, and legal purposes (including refund records). You can request deletion of your data at any time — see below.

Cookies

We use one functional cookie to keep admin users signed in to the admin dashboard. We don't use advertising or third-party analytics tracking cookies.

Your rights

You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time by emailing us — see contact below. We'll respond within a reasonable time.

Security

Application data is stored in Firebase with access restricted to our team; payment details are handled entirely by Razorpay's PCI-compliant infrastructure and never touch our servers directly.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the program evolves. Material changes will be reflected here with an updated date above.
